KEEP THE FAITH IN THE IDEA OF AMERICA! – Especially during this Election Season.

November 2, 2016 Leave a comment

This is a short but poignant video excerpt of Bono’s speech at Georgetown University. This video excerpt also appears in Dinesh D’Souza’s excellent docu-movie “America – Imagine the World Without Her.”

I highly and extremely recommend everyone to experience D’Souza’s current excellent number-one docu-movie called “Hillary’s America – The Secret History of the Democrat Party.”  If you have not seen it yet, you need to see it especially before election day, see it with a friend or family. It is available for streaming on many platforms and available in Blu-Ray or DVD.  http://hillarysamericathemovie.com/

But I also recommend “America – Imagine the World Without Her” http://americathemovie.com/ which came out two years ago, but is truly timeless, and for that matter also “Obama’s America” which came out in 2012 http://www.dineshdsouza.com/movies/2016-obamas-america/ . “Obama’s America” caused Obama to basically have a  little temper tantrum and, with the backing of the US Government go after Dinesh and had him locked up, literally. You can learn more about this when you see “Hillary’s America.”

But I really want to talk about “America – Imagine the World Without Her.”  D’Souza correctly shows in this movie how before the founding fathers put the idea of America on paper, really, basically the only system that the world knew was that of the conquest ethic, meaning the strong conquer the weak and then take what they have, without remorse. This is so profound and people really need to have a history lesson and wrap their brains around this. Many left-leaning idealists will argue that America was also founded under this conquest ethic, though this may be somewhat true but these same lefties like to revise the narrative of history and ignore facts. They choose to ignore the very good things about the founding of America and ignore the fact that America was the only entity or country “…the first to claw its way out of darkness and put that on paper” (–Bono [see video above]), the first to challenge the class system and the caste system and the monarchy, or an oligarchy or dictatorship or the first to challenge fiefdom. The first to challenge all these archaic systems in favor of the new American idea of liberty and having a small government of the people, for the people and by the people allowing everyone to choose their own destiny through a capitalistic free society.

It seems like every election season, especially during a presidential election season that many Americans seem to lose sight of the bigger picture and get mired in silly trivial details. Many seem to be going through the motions as if we were picking a winner such as in American Idol, or Dancing with The Stars. Why do so many seem to have the mindset that we are choosing a kind of king or queen or dictator. They lose sight of the American idea the way our government is set up. If I have cancer I am not putting all my efforts into choosing an oncologist I am doing whatever I can to choose to destroy my cancer, choosing a competent oncologist may be a part of that, but by no means is it the endgame. The endgame is to alleviate or destroy the cancer. We should be choosing leaders who will do everything within their power to uphold what the Founding Fathers have set up, the Constitution of the United States, and to destroy the cancer or the thought of doing anything different. I have always thought of leftist ideas as sort of a cancer attacking the American idea that must be destroyed and defeated in the arena of ideas.

It always seems that during a presidential election we are choosing either a Republican, someone who wishes to conserve the founding father’s vision or we are choosing a Democrat someone who would rather transform America into something different but in reality the Democrats always are choosing to go back to one of the archaic systems mentioned above except give it a new name or a new twist. By any means the lefties or the Democrats are always trying to hide their true intentions that of changing the way America is governed with an always ever-expanding, oligarchical federal government.

Leftists are very creative in the way they hide their process but mostly they hide it by trying to change the narratives to create an anti-american sentiment. Dinesh D’Souza in his film “America – Imagine the World Without Her” shows us how the left changes the stories and actually creates five very serious indictments against America. These indictments come from revered left thinkers such as Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn or Ward Churchill. In fact as D’Souza points out Howard Zinn’s book, A People’s History of the United States, even though it is not a true History book is required reading on many campuses of colleges and universities and even some high schools. D’Souza does a very good job at detailing these serious indictments right before he shows how these narratives of Chomsky, Zinn and Ward Churchill are actually false narratives, and therefore these indictments are invalid

Anyways as I stated earlier I highly recommend that you see “America – Imagine the World Without Her” and see for yourself these invalid indictments that many take as gospel truth and also see for yourself that the world is actually a much better place now that the idea of America has been introduced to the world some 250 years ago.

Don’t forget to vote on November 8 but before you vote see D’Souza’s latest, “Hillary’s America – The Secret History of the Democrat Party” especially if you are considering actually voting for Hillary. After seeing “Hillary’s America” don’t be surprised if you find yourself like me never willing to support a member of the Democrat Party ever again.

Sadie Robertson Shares Heart on ‘Sexy’ Rumba Dance

There is no reason you have to sacrifice your morals no matter what pressures you are receiving. Sadie Robertson is proving that with her experience on Dancing With The Stars. Read about it in this article from Charisma News

Sadie Robertson of the “Duck Dynasty” clan shares what made her uncomfortable with preparations for her performance last week on “Dancing With the Stars.” (YouTube)

Sadie Robertson of the Duck Dynasty clan revealed in an interview that pressure from her dance partner to perform a sexy rumba on Dancing With the Stars caused her a great deal of stress, but she is pleased with the outcome.

“I guess you all could tell that last week was pretty hard for me,” Robertson said in an interview for tvguide.com. “It was really stressful, and I wasn’t getting the dance down, and Mark [Ballas] had been telling me all week, ‘You’re not going to get good scores because you’re not doing a sexy rumba and that’s what they want to see.'”

Although the two butted heads, 17-year-old Robertson, a strong Christian, held her ground:

“I was like, that’s OK, because I would rather get a bad score from the judges than know in my heart that I did something that I’m not comfortable with. So, when we went out there and we did it, after the dance, I was so nervous because I just knew I was going to get ripped to shreds by the judges.”

But that’s not what happened. Robertson said she was pleasantly surprised to receive a score of 35 out of 40 from the judges. She said she was able to reach an accommodation with dance partner Mark Ballas by wearing a modest costume and keeping sexy moves out of the dance routine.

“So when they were so respectful of the dance and they loved it and appreciated me standing up for what I believed in, I just kind of felt like God blessed me with the judges liking the dance,” Robertson told tvguide.com. “It just paid off to do the right thing, and it just made me really emotional to finally get the hardest dance so far, in my opinion, out of the way and just be done with it. It felt really good.”

TIDAL WAVE OF GOOD NEWS!

July 10, 2013 1 comment

tidalwavemain

A great article from Dr. Marshall Foster at World History Institute Written on July 4, 2013 [note: I added emphasis in the text below]

There is a tidal wave of Christianity spreading in nation after nation as never before in history. Christianity is the fastest growing religion in the world today. True faith is spreading and modern secularism is failing. These declarations are verified by research of scholars and best-selling authors such as Dinesh D’Souza, of Stanford’s Hoover Institution; Phillip Jenkins, Cambridge trained professor and author of The Next Christendom; and David Aikman, Oxford trained former worldwide reporter for Time magazine and author of Jesus in Beijing, How Christianity is Changing the Global Balance of Power.

Throughout the past century, the developing world has come to recognize what it means to believe in our Lord, the Ruler of the world, who died, rose and now rules the nations from His throne on high. One hundred years ago 80% of Christians resided in Europe or America. The missionary movement, which began in England and America, has changed the world over the past two centuries. Christianity has exploded and now over 60% of the Christian believers live in the rapidly modernizing developing countries.

In Brazil there were not enough evangelicals to notice several decades ago; now there are 50 million new believers. More than 480 million people in South America embrace their true King. In Asia there are now 313 million voluntary members of Christ’s Kingdom. An estimated 100 million Christians in China worship in underground churches. In Africa, there were only 10 million Christians in 1900; now there are 360 million.

In 1925 Olympic gold medalist Eric Liddell left the fame and fortune of professional athletics to dedicate his life as a missionary to China.

In 1925 Olympic gold medalist Eric Liddell left the fame and fortune of professional athletics to dedicate his life as a missionary to China.

China will likely become the largest Christian nation in the world within a few decades, according to David Aikman. Aikman has spent a lifetime covering the Iron and Bamboo Curtain countries and their progressive fall into the arms of Jesus. Aikman observed in his book Jesus in Beijing that Christianity is that unstoppable, loving movement that causes entire nations, like China and the Iron Curtain countries, to eventually rise up and throw off their oppressors, overturning the global balance of power. Aikman said that Czechoslo- vakia, as if the nation were one person, cast off her communist oppressors in a week. [Photo on right from Chariots of Fire, a 1981 British historical drama film]

Today there are 560 million Europeans and 260 million Americans who are at least nominally Christian, and tens of millions of these are still holding forth the true faith. However, the believers in the developing countries are immersed in the world of the Bible often more than the devout Christians in the West. Even though 200 million of these believers face persecution and most are under dictatorships, they are spreading Christ’s kingdom with passion and sacrifice. David Aikman documents that in China the leading intellectuals, scientists and entrepreneurs are becoming Christians. As they meet in their home churches, they are training to be missionaries to the Muslim world and even to the West as they work for the doors of freedom to open in China. African believers hold an orthodox view of the inspired Word of God. Many African Anglican pastors and bishops have emigrated from Africa back to Britain and are preaching to some of the largest and fastest growing churches in the British Isles. South Korea now has 12,000 full-time missionaries in the field, second only to the United States.

Modern secularism is no match for this tidal wave of God’s love and power that is moving across the earth bringing the universal liberating truths of Scripture. The non-believing world and its leaders, to maintain the façade of civilization and order, are forced to use Christian rhetoric. Evolutionary and atheistic worldviews, with their survival of the fittest and “get all you can in this life” philosophies, are incompatible with equal human rights, selfless virtues or just laws. Only if we are accountable to a perfect God to love our neighbor is there any reason to act with kindness toward the weak, elderly or unlovable.

For example, Friedrich Nietzsche, the founder of modern Nihilism, the “God is dead” movement, had to admit that all equal rights theories are Christian in origin. He said “Another Christian concept, no less crazy [to an atheist]: the concept of equality of souls before God. This concept furnishes the prototype of all theories of equal rights.” What he does not say is that without these Christian derived rights, Nietzsche’s own philosophy of death that he himself was free to spew in a Christian society would have certainly led him to the Gulag in a totalitarian atheistic state.

Christianity brings liberty and freedom to the world, not because its followers have money or military power, but because it is True. Revisionist historians have labored to hide the irrefutable truth of Christianity. Most people are not taught that the early Christians brought the mighty Roman Empire to its knees by the time of Constantine in 312 A.D; or that Ireland, ruled by demonic druid priests, peacefully bowed to their rightful Sovereign through the preaching of one man, Patrick, in the 4th Century; or that Germany turned from the worship of evil gods and human sacrifice to become the early center of Christendom as it enlightened Europe in the 8th Century; or that England under Alfred the Great, turned the government of the world upside down with English Common Law based upon the Ten Commandments, laws of Moses, and the Gospels; or that the great scientists of the Middle Ages from Francis Bacon, the founder of the scientific method to Isaac Newton, perhaps the greatest scientist of all time, bowed to the Savior and His eternal laws and created a modern world that reveals his Lordship and order.

The American Colonists, revived through the unleashing of the Word of God, declared that they would “have no king but King Jesus” in response to the tyranny of King George. The Americans drew up a covenant with their new King and each other, calling it the Declaration of Independence, in which they placed their reliance on “divine Providence.” Americans have been the most blessed people in history as a result. On the day the Declaration of Independence was signed Samuel Adams stood and declared, “We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come.”

The great news is that once we in America understand and recapture our biblical heritage of liberty – united with believers worldwide – we may be on the precipice of the greatest revival in history!

SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER!! —“I don’t know where we left our brains…?!”

February 12, 2013 Leave a comment

My friends, this is really important!! Maybe you have already heard about Dr. Ben Carlson and his amazing and courageous speech in front of President Obama at the Prayer Breakfast last Friday. This event has made many headlines. But whether you have or have not heard about this, it still bears repeating many times.

As you may know, according to my political views—well you know my political views if you have perused this blog at all—I am very partisan; I definitely feel that those that are currently in power in our nation, and their ilk, and there ideas are currently the reasons for the bulk of the problems with our nation today. But, stay with me now, Dr. Carson, WITHOUT BEING particularly PARTISAN has really spoken TRUTH at this Prayer Breakfast please see these videos below.

I know this one above is almost a half an hour. If you are pressed for time at this moment start at 17:50, but be sure to come back later. Near the beginning Dr. Carson talks very succinctly about the problems with Political Correctness. So you will have missed that if you are in a hurry and take my advice. But I really feel that the essence of his message starts at 17:50. Also just like Eric Metaxas did last year Dr. Carson appropriately mixes humor throughout his speech. (see my post about Eric Metaxas by clicking here)

This man, Dr Ben Carson has an amazing story. Cuba Gooding Jr. played Dr. Ben Carson in a movie detailing his remarkable life story, click here for that movie. Below is a picture of him receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush in 2008. This is the highest civilian award in the United States.

Below is another must see video 🙂 which is an interview where he talks about why he felt led to give that speech at the Prayer Breakfast. My hope is that you will watch this video as well as the one above in its entirety. Also my hope is that you will feel compelled to share this post with others.

Let’s get our brains back on people…

The Divine Origins of the American Republic

February 11, 2013 Leave a comment

Written on January 31, 2013 by Dr. Marshall Foster

What gave the early immigrants to the American wilderness the courage, independent spirit, and audacious will to defy the hierarchical structures of the tyrannical nations of Europe and write their own documents of liberty?

How did these English yeomen accomplish what had never been done in 6,000 years of human history? Understanding the answers to these questions is crucial to the preservation of our liberty in the coming years. The reason that they were able to create self-governing, successful governments is that they were dedicated students of the “divine constitution” given to Moses. Their own written words and actions reveal that they were following a specific model. They knew that the God-ordained blueprint for true liberty had been given to the Ancient Hebrews on Mt. Sinai and codified in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible.)

Contrary to popular belief, the root of America’s governmental genius did not begin in the minds of the Founding Fathers. The Founding Fathers built on a continuum of divine truth that was tried and tested in towns and colonies for 150 years before the constitutional period.

Samuel Langdon was prominent in securing the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. Speaking before final ratification in 1788, he said, “The Israelites may be considered as a pattern to the world for all ages and from them we may learn what will exalt our character, and what will depress and bring us to ruin as a nation.”

John Adams, America’s second president and foremost legal scholar knew that the biblical precepts of the Hebrews were the nest in all of human history. Responding to an author who had praised the Greeks, Adams says, “As much as I love, esteem, and admire the Greeks, I believe the Hebrews have done more to enlighten and civilize the world. Moses did more than all their [Greek] legislators and philosophers.”

What was so uniquely different about the society and government laid down at Mt. Sinai? Legal Professor John Eidsmoe says, “In chapter 18 [of Exodus] Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro, the Midianite, proposed that Moses decentralize the judicial system by selecting various tiers of judges, laying the groundwork for the Hebrew Republic.”

The people gave voluntary consent in choosing God as their King and choosing Moses as their commander and chief executive. God directed Moses to establish a senate or council of elders as well as a popular assembly similar to America’s House of Representatives. This assembly was called the congregation, all the assembly, and other titles.

The Israelites voluntarily chose to be subject to God’s precepts and loving ways. They elected their judges, and followed this same pattern of decentralized representative government, concentrating all civil government at the local level. In Israel all people were equal before the law. There was no caste system, no special privileged class, and no tyrant claiming to be God as was the practice of the ancient Pharaohs of Egypt. The national government, as long as the Hebrews followed God’s ways, was limited and reserved for specific national priorities such as national defense. All other powers and decisions were reserved for the local tribes as they held themselves and their leaders accountable to the just and merciful laws of God.

Rev. E. C. Wines, a renowned authority on the Hebrew Scriptures, explains how America had emulated Moses’ divine national plan. He says,“The Hebrew Constitution, in its substance and its form, in its letter and its spirit, was eminently Republican [a republic]. The power of the people was great and controlling….Whoever attentively considers the…Hebrew and American constitutions cannot but be impressed with the resemblance between them. Their fundamental principles are identical; and many of the details of organization are the same or similar.”

This is the primary reason why America became the freest and most prosperous nation in history. Our forebears tapped into the eternal plan of God for men and nations. They understood that the laws of the universe are unchanging and that God knows best how His world works. Our loving God has not left us in the dark as to the only way of freedom. These colonial settlers also had a great advantage when it came to implementing God’s ways. They were, for the most part, devout believers in Jesus Christ, the God of heaven made flesh, for whom Moses was but a prophet.

This faith made our early settlers “more than conquerors through Christ” and able to govern themselves with moral power and clarity. They also had the “mind of Christ” and the Geneva Bible in their own language to give them the insights needed to create a worldwide example for all nations to experience God’s blessings and liberty.

Can we not see the miraculous confluence of the revealed truths of civil order and the opening up of a new continent for discovery and settlement some four centuries ago? We are the heirs of this American miracle that has led to the political liberty of half of the world! We are more accountable than ever to reapply and obey God’s principles as individuals and as a nation. There is no other way of restoring our national liberty. This one of a kind matrix of liberty is sustained through the faithful, loving lives of Christian believers and guided by the eternal principles laid down 3,500 years ago by God at Mt. Sinai.

Langdon’s final words to the colonial legislators ring down to us as a divine warning. He declared, “If you neglect or renounce that religion taught and commanded in the Holy Scriptures, think no more of freedom, peace, and happiness; the judgments of heaven will pursue you.” Can we see what is at stake here? We are fighting not just for a flag or document but for the Glory of the Lord of Heaven and Earth. Judgment or blessing will pursue us depending on the path we choose.

Eric Metaxas, Bonhoeffer’s Birthday and A Lesson in Courage.

February 6, 2013 1 comment

VeggieTales Esther A Lesson In CourageA few days ago was Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Birthday (Feb 4) Last year Eric Metaxas, who wrote a great book on Bonhoeffer had a great speech at the Nat’l Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

Although I am sure Eric Metaxas is known to many people for many creative works, but personally I was first introduced to Eric Metaxas several years ago while I was watching with my children a Veggie Tales video based on the Bible story of Esther. He did a very good job but what was most memorable to me was that instead of hearing the usual British accent, or James Earl Jones type of voice to make narration sound very intelligent I heard Eric Metaxas’ voice which sort of reminded me (and I may be dating myself now) of a young Woody Allen. The full title of this Veggie Tales video is “VeggieTales: Esther, the Girl Who Became Queen” and then markedly subtitled “A Lesson In Courage.”

I think Eric took that lesson of courage definitely to heart because at that Prayer Breakfast during his sometimes humorous but poignant speech at the podium, sharing the dais with President Obama, the First Lady and with other notable people like Nancy Pelosi, Metaxas courageously spoke about standing for, and defending the pre-born against abortion. Watch this video below:

“If I Were the Devil” by Paul Harvey …Good Day!

Paul Harvey 1918-2099

After that great Paul Harvey Ad, “God Made a Farmer” I was thinking about how much I loved his radio spots. May God rest his soul. One particular radio spot comes to mind that was first broadcast in 1965. I was only 5 then, but I have heard it severl times later. And it is more relevant today, I think, then it was back then. Paul Harvey was being most prophetic when he broadcast this. Click here for that video, and scroll near the bottom of that page for the actual video
