There is no reason you have to sacrifice your morals no matter what pressures you are receiving. Sadie Robertson is proving that with her experience on Dancing With The Stars. Read about it in this article from Charisma News
Sadie Robertson of the Duck Dynasty clan revealed in an interview that pressure from her dance partner to perform a sexy rumba on Dancing With the Stars caused her a great deal of stress, but she is pleased with the outcome.
“I guess you all could tell that last week was pretty hard for me,” Robertson said in an interview for tvguide.com. “It was really stressful, and I wasn’t getting the dance down, and Mark [Ballas] had been telling me all week, ‘You’re not going to get good scores because you’re not doing a sexy rumba and that’s what they want to see.'”
Although the two butted heads, 17-year-old Robertson, a strong Christian, held her ground:
“I was like, that’s OK, because I would rather get a bad score from the judges than know in my heart that I did something that I’m not comfortable with. So, when we went out there and we did it, after the dance, I was so nervous because I just knew I was going to get ripped to shreds by the judges.”
But that’s not what happened. Robertson said she was pleasantly surprised to receive a score of 35 out of 40 from the judges. She said she was able to reach an accommodation with dance partner Mark Ballas by wearing a modest costume and keeping sexy moves out of the dance routine.
“So when they were so respectful of the dance and they loved it and appreciated me standing up for what I believed in, I just kind of felt like God blessed me with the judges liking the dance,” Robertson told tvguide.com. “It just paid off to do the right thing, and it just made me really emotional to finally get the hardest dance so far, in my opinion, out of the way and just be done with it. It felt really good.”
Cannes: Video of Hollywood Environmentalists in Anti-Fracking Sting Operation to Debut (Exclusive Video)
More ASTOUNDING BLATANT HYPOCRISY among environmentalists and the Hollywood left #StrangerThanFiction George Orwell would be proud to write this story except its REAL. Where is the outrage?
James O’Keefe says he duped Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemingway into agreeing to get involved with an anti-fracking movie while hiding that its funding comes from Middle Eastern oil interests.
Journalist James O’Keefe, known for his controversial undercover sting operations aimed usually at liberals — is set to unveil at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday the first of a group of videos that he says will reveal hypocrisy among Hollywood environmentalists.
In the video, obtained exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter and embedded below, actors Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemingway are duped by a man named “Muhammad,” who is looking to make an anti-fracking movie while hiding that its funding is coming from Middle Eastern oil interests.
Muhammad, accompanied by a man pretending to be an ad executive, seemingly has the two actors agreeing to participate in the scheme, even after he acknowledges…

SPOILER ALERT, I thought I would get that out first lest you hate me for revealing too much, but I don’t think I really give a way enough to spoil anything. This is not necessarily a review of this movie but this post is more or less about the thoughts that I had during and after watching this movie.
First of all I was not planning to go and watch any movie at all but at my eldest son’s insistence, and my wife’s insistence that our 15-year-old and his Daddy have a little one-on-one Daddy-time, we decided to spend part of our Martin Luther King Jr day off from work and school watching this thriller. Turns out I really did enjoy the film, we both did, another reboot and re-imagining origin story about the characters that Tom Clancy first created years ago. Plus I really enjoy all of the actors in their past roles and now in this movie too.
Briefly, the premise of the movie is that it is about an ultra-secret plot within the Russian Government to undermine and destroy the US economy to create a devastating and worse second Great Depression. This is the world of this spy-thriller fiction, but, compare that with the fact that in reality there is an ultra-secret plot within the American Government to undermine and destroy the US economy, namely in the real-life person of evil, socialist, multi-billionaire, George Soros and his backing, especially financial backing, of the current President and the current radicalized Democrat party. The only reason it is ultra-secret in real life is because the main-stream media is merely an extension of the current radicalized Democrat party.
The actions of the current leaders shows that there is a plot to destroy the American economy. Due to the current actions of our current leaders we have the slowest job creation since the Great Depression, a number of failed stimulus packages, the highest sustained energy prices ever, the over regulating of business, the never-ending over spending, the failed Affordable Care Act or Obamacare, and a failing economy overall. Simply look at the fact that this current administration has acquired more debt than all previous presidents COMBINED. During the upcoming state of union address President Obama will not surprisingly do very little more other than continue to propose more spending and more economy-killing tax hikes.
Kenneth Branagh’s character, financial mogul, Viktor Cherevin, reminded of real-life, financial mogul, George Soros.
More on George Soros:
Shoot, my social media clout is so great that I probably just spoiled any of the Oscar award hopes that this movie ever had. 😀
Bear with me but I wanted to update this post and include a horrifying excerpt from Soros: Republic Enemy #1: http://web.archive.org/web/20101027070859/http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/14700
Remember this is Obama’s and the Democrats’ most fervent backer, including financial backer, and is embraced, albeit somewhat secretly, by the current US political leaders:
“The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States.”—George Soros…György Schwartz, better known to the world as George Soros, was born August 12, 1930 in Hungary…The Schwartz’s, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros, in order to facilitate assimilation into the gentile population, as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s. Soros is an Esperanto word meaning “to soar.”
In 1944 Hitler’s henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary, to oversee the murder of that country’s Jews. The Soros children were all given fake identity papers, and were shipped out to various Christian families. George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.
Soros has repeatedly called 1944 “the best year of his life.”
In an article in the Wall Street Journal, Joshua Muravchik notes that, “70% of Mr. Soros’s fellow Jews in Hungary, nearly a half-million human beings, were annihilated in that year. They were dying and disappearing all around him, and their numbers no doubt included many whom he knew personally. Yet he gives no sign that this put any damper on his elation, either at the time or indeed in retrospect.”
During an interview with “Sixty Minute’s” Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his “best year:”
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who
swore that you were his adopted godson.
SOROS: Yes. Yes.
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
SOROS: Yes. That’s right. Yes.
KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the
psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
SOROS: Not, not at all. Not at all.
KROFT: No feeling of guilt?
Of course he didn’t feel guilty. Soros has the moral depth of a clam. Nonetheless, he has said, “my goal is to become the conscience of the world.”
I know that here in America we are currently in the throes of debate on Government-run health care, but I think this study on Daylight savings time should cause us to learn a lesson in all this. That lesson that should be learned is that anytime you have a government or if you have any governing bodies forcing the masses to behave in a certain way or forcing the masses to buy into a certain mindset, you can guarantee that it will be a huge waste of energy, time and effort and especially a huge waste of money. And overall, it will leave any thinking, sane person to scratch his head and say “Why are we doing this?!? This is stupid!!” Just some thoughts as we all fall back this weekend…
Daylight Saving Wastes Energy, Study Says
By JUSTIN LAHART of The Wall Street Jounal
For decades, conventional wisdom has held that daylight-saving time, which begins March 9, reduces energy use. But a unique situation in Indiana provides evidence challenging that view: Springing forward may actually waste energy.
Up until two years ago, only 15 of Indiana’s 92 counties set their clocks an hour ahead in the spring and an hour back in the fall. The rest stayed on standard time all year, in part because farmers resisted the prospect of having to work an extra hour in the morning dark. But many residents came to hate falling in and out of sync with businesses and residents in neighboring states and prevailed upon the Indiana Legislature to put the entire state on daylight-saving time beginning in the spring of 2006.
Research on the impact of extending daylight-saving time across Indiana found:
- Residential electricity usage increased between 1% and 4%, amounting to $8.6 million a year.
- Social costs from increased emissions were estimated at between $1.6 million and $5.3 million per year.
- Possible social benefits — enhanced public health and safety and economic growth — were not studied.
Indiana’s change of heart gave University of California-Santa Barbara economics professor Matthew Kotchen and Ph.D. student Laura Grant a unique way to see how the time shift affects energy use. Using more than seven million monthly meter readings from Duke Energy Corp.DUK +1.12% , covering nearly all the households in southern Indiana for three years, they were able to compare energy consumption before and after counties began observing daylight-saving time. Readings from counties that had already adopted daylight-saving time provided a control group that helped them to adjust for changes in weather from one year to the next.
Their finding: Having the entire state switch to daylight-saving time each year, rather than stay on standard time, costs Indiana households an additional $8.6 million in electricity bills. They conclude that the reduced cost of lighting in afternoons during daylight-saving time is more than offset by the higher air-conditioning costs on hot afternoons and increased heating costs on cool mornings.
“I’ve never had a paper with such a clear and unambiguous finding as this,” says Mr. Kotchen, who presented the paper at a National Bureau of Economic Research conference this month.
A 2007 study by economists Hendrik Wolff and Ryan Kellogg of the temporary extension of daylight-saving in two Australian territories for the 2000 Summer Olympics also suggested the clock change increases energy use.
That isn’t what Benjamin Franklin would have expected. In 1784, he observed what an “immense sum! that the city of Paris might save every year, by the economy of using sunshine instead of candles.” (Mr. Franklin didn’t propose setting clocks forward, instead he satirically suggested levying a tax on window shutters, ringing church bells at sunrise and, if that didn’t work, firing cannons down the street in order to rouse Parisians out of their beds earlier.)…
Holy smokes! This above all makes sharing posts and social media in general worthwhile, when you find gems like this. I found this because Bristol Palin shared it. Hope you enjoy and share it as much as I did!

Chelsea Clinton Laments: My Great Grandmother Did Not Have Access to Planned Parenthood
by Rebecca Oas, Ph.D. | New York, NY | LifeNews.com | 6/20/13 4:22 PM
New York, NY (CFAM) — From the stage at the recent Women Deliver conference, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea revealed that her much-admired maternal grandmother was the child of unwed teenage parents who “did not have access to services that are so crucial that Planned Parenthood helps provide.”
Chelsea’s grandmother was born of an unintended pregnancy. And new research shows that her family is not alone in treasuring a person who – if Planned Parenthood had been successful – would not have been born.
“Every child a wanted child” is the rallying cry of family planning organizations that promote abortion as a way to achieve that goal. The New York Times Magazine recentlydescribed a study of women who were turned away from abortion clinics because their pregnancies were too far along. Researchers found that in the vast majority of cases – 95% – the mothers bonded with their babies. A significant percentage later denied having ever sought an abortion, despite the fact they were included in the study on that basis.
In a different long-term study, Dr. Rebecca Callahan observed a similar change in attitude among mothers with unwanted pregnancies in rural Bangladesh. Although 42% of the women initially labeled their pregnancies as unwanted, over half of them changed their views retrospectively. Over 60% of women who originally stated their intention to have no more children classified subsequent births as wanted or, at worst, mistimed. Callahan presented her findings at the 2013 meeting of the Population Association of America.
Instead of focusing on the positive finding that women’s initial aversion or ambivalence about pregnancy does not mean the child will be unwanted, Callahan expressed concern that “the rationalization of births as wanted distorts the true level of unintended pregnancy.”
While neither study examined why the women’s preliminary attitudes toward their pregnancies were negative, both were dismissive of the mothers’ eventual change of heart. “It’s psychologically in our interest to tell a positive story and move forward,” Dr. Katie Watson told The New York Times Magazine. “[I]t’s wonderfully functional for women who have children to be glad they have them,”
The fact that many wanted children result from unwanted pregnancies calls into question the very reason for organizations like Planned Parenthood and the United Nations Population Fund, whose mission statement seeks “to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted.”
The Guttmacher Institute, founded by Planned Parenthood, publishes articles warning of the dire consequences for “unwanted” children – implying that they would have been better off never being born. Despite current research demonstrating that an unplanned pregnancy does not necessarily predict an unwanted child, these findings are rarely used to develop interventions to encourage expectant mothers to embrace their unplanned offspring or consider placing them for adoption.
